The CAT4 Level B test is generally taken for entry into Year 5. Selective schools will use this test when a new student has moved nearby and an assessment of the child’s ability is required to ascertain their abilities and understand if the school is a good fit. A complete CAT4 test consists of eight sub-tests; each of these tests assess a different cognitive ability which help to determine a child’s future potential.
